William Fitzgerald Jenkins (better known as Murray Leinster) had a long
and varied career. He started writing SF in 1919 and continued to write
until his death in 1975. He also had several books published in the
mystery and western genres. He wrote in all the different types of SF
during the "Golden Age" and a number of his works are still readable
today. I have a special fondness for his Med series & "The Best of
Murray Leinster" is a good collection of his short stories.
